Jason and I have been married for just over 5 years now. After moving home from Texas Jason became a teacher and I decided to pursue my career as a school counselor. As graduate school came to a close for both of us, we realized that our possibilities were endless. We decided to apply for jobs all over the world, not really knowing what might turn into something real. We applied anywhere that was hiring both science teachers and school counselors. This included Shanghi, China - Fairfax, Virginia - Hawaii - Alaska.
And after many interviews and phone calls . . . including a call from Principal Blizzard in Nome, Alaska. . . we were finally offered something that just made sense.
So here we are, preparing to move to Metlakatla. Located on Annette Island, Alaska. But before we go this summer is going to be jam packed full of fun. We have a vacation to Maui, a wedding, and a 10 year reunion to fit in all before our departure from what we have called home for the last 5 years. So this is our attempt to share it with all of you and to document this exciting time in our lives!
